Telstra customers are being warned over an Indian call centre scam attempting to trick victims into handing over sensitive information that could be used for identity theft.
Skibbereen is a town in County Cork, Ireland. It is located in West Cork on the N71 national secondary road. The name "Skibbereen" means "little boat harbour". Telstra customers are being warned over an Indian call centre scam attempting to trick victims into handing over sensitive information that could be used for identity theft.
Scammers are posing as police officers to try and dupe people into handing over financial information. Phone calls even appear to come from a local police station, say officers from Camden Police Area Command in NSW, which is a warning the public to beware of the new tactics.
The database of phone numbers and comments is created by users themselves through the website.
