Frequently Asked Questions
General questions
How long has this service been running and who is it for?
The service was created in 2011 in the Czech Republic. It is an online forum where the users can share their experience with phone numbers, both annoying (mostly telemarketing, surveys) and useful (e.g. couriers, offices). The service is for all those who want to know who a certain phone number belongs to and if it is desirable to answer a call from them.
What can the users learn about a number that is calling them?
Users can find other people’s rating of a phone number, interest in a number in the last year, and, if possible, also the location of a number (for landlines).
How do we count views for a phone number?
It is a number of views of a page. Only one access a day is counted for a device. We try not to let the number be influenced by search engine access so it should only be the number of views by real visitors.
Who creates the database and how is the trustworthiness of the comments ensured?
The database of phone numbers and comments is created by users themselves through the website.
Comments can be added by registered users anonymously as well. Just like any other forum, it is not possible to 100% ensure the credibility of the comments. Therefore we reserve the right to delete comments or block comments for a particular number.
Every user can deactivate any comment until the moderators deal with it. Just click the Delete button in the menu found at each comment. The user is then redirected to a short form where they can explain to moderators why they believe the comment is harmful.
Is the forum moderated?
The forum is partly moderated. Thousands of comments are added to the site daily so it is not in our power to check them all. Therefore we deal mainly with suspicious and reported comments.

Questions related to rating
My comment has disappeared or has been edited, why?
We edit and delete comments for the following reasons:
- We are informed that the comment contains signs of illegal actions and these actions can be determined on the basis of general awareness.
- We are informed that a given comment contains personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- We are notified that the comment is vulgar or abusive.
- We receive a request to delete a comment from the police.
- We receive a court decision to delete a comment.
How can I report an inappropriate comment?
Every user can deactivate any comment until the moderators deal with it. Just click the Delete button in the menu found at each comment. The user is then redirected to a short form where they can explain to moderators why they believe the comment is harmful. Processing of this request usually takes about a week. Then the user is informed about how the moderators dealt with the comment.
What should I do if I want to delete a comment on a phone number?
In case a comment contains derogatory expressions or statements that can generally be considered false, inform us via email at callinsider.ie @ or via mail at the address:
P.O.Box 272
Kurzova 2222/16
155 00 Prague 13
Czech RepublicIn case the post is obviously untrue or defamatory, it will be removed. In other cases, please contact the police who have to investigate if the comments are unlawful. The forum operator will cooperate fully to examine the unlawfulness of the posts. The moment the police or a court asks us to remove the comments, we will do so immediately.
A comment was deleted but it is still in search results. Why?
Google and other search engines (Bing, Yandex…) have their own memory, so they don’t display an excerpt from the site that always 100% corresponds to reality. It can take a while for the search engine to reindex the site content and display a relevant site excerpt. It generally takes weeks, occasionally it may take months.
Can you give me the IP address or some information on the author of the comment?
The quality of the forum matters to us a lot, so our ideal goal is that nobody needs any information on the author of a comment. However, it is possible that a potentially unlawful comment appears on the site. In that case, please contact the police who we will fully cooperate with to investigate the source of the comments.
Most comments are submitted anonymously. In this case we do not have the name or the email address of the author. We do not save readable IP addresses of posters either, only encrypted. We are, therefore, able to determine that for instance two comments were sent from the same device, but we are unable to provide a readable IP address.
Who is responsible for the content of the posts?
The content of comments is the sole responsibility of the users who posted them in the forum. Users agree to follow the Terms of Comment Posting by publishing a comment. If we are provably informed about unlawful comment content, we assume the duty to remove the comment as soon as possible.
Is there an API available?
Unfortunately, we do not provide API with the service and we are not planning to.
What should I do when my phone number is on this website against my will?
If you find out that this website shows your phone number, you can request to have it removed via email at callinsider.ie @ or via mail at the address:
P.O.Box 272
Kurzova 2222/16
155 00 Prague 13
Czech RepublicWe reserve the right to ask you to provide documents proving that you are the owner of the phone number.
I entered a valid phone number but the system declined it as non-existent. What should I do?
If you think the number is correct please do not hesitate to contact us at callinsider.ie @ . We will do our best to correct the error.
Why are some comments hidden?
The moment we receive a request to remove a comment, the comment automatically becomes unreadable until we evaluate the request fully. We do this to make comments that potentially contain personal data or are hateful inaccessible as soon as possible.
Why can’t I report a comment?
If we have deemed a request to remove a comment unsubstantiated, we do not allow repeated reporting of the same comment until a time limit passes. If you insist it should be removed, you can contact us at our email address callinsider.ie @ or by mail at:

Czech RepublicWhat does “verified profile” mean?
We collect phone number information from users, but also from publicly accessible sources. A number found in this way is labelled a “verified profile”. Although we try to verify the information and update it regularly, it is possible that the information is outdated or inaccurate. If you see any inaccuracies in verified profiles, we will be grateful if you contact us.
